The clutch disc is the connecting link between the engine and transmission, providing a large surface area of friction material on both sides. The surface of the clutch disc contacts the flywheel surface of the engine and the pressure plate surface of the transmission. Rotation of the flywheel is transferred to the pressure plate through the clutch plate, allowing your vehicle to move. When the clutch pedal is engaged, the clutch plate is separated from the flywheel, allowing gears to be changed. When the clutch pedal is released, they make contact and the transfer of power begins again. This dual-disk clutch and flywheel kit features an organic sprung disc and a diaphragm plate, and includes a flywheel, pressure plate, clutch disc, and additional hardware. It is a high-performance dual-disc clutch and flywheel package for LS engines with a 6-bolt flywheel flange, and is rated for 800 lb.-ft. of torque.
